A simple step-by-step manual for managing your online store

1. Getting Started

Logging into the Admin Panel

1. Open your browser and go to your store’s admin link (example: yourstore.com/admin).

2. Enter your username and password.

3. Click Login.

Understanding the Dashboard

- The Dashboard shows an overview of your store: Total Orders, Total Customers, Sales Analytics.

- The left-hand Menu helps you navigate to Products, Orders, Customers, Reports, and more.

2. Managing Products

Adding a New Product

1. Go to Catalog β†’ Products.

2. Click Add New (+) in the top right.

3. Fill in the product details (Name, Description, Meta Title, Data Tab, Links Tab, Image Tab).

4. Click Save when finished.

Editing an Existing Product

1. Go to Catalog β†’ Products.

2. Find the product in the list.

3. Click the Edit (pencil icon).

4. Update details such as price, description, or images.

5. Click Save.

Uploading Product Images & Galleries

1. When adding or editing a product, open the Image Tab.

2. Click the image box to Upload a new picture.

3. For multiple images: Scroll to Additional Images β†’ Click Add Image β†’ Upload/select extra images.

Managing Categories

1. Go to Catalog β†’ Categories.

2. Click Add New (+) to create a new category.

3. Enter Category Name, Description, and upload a Category Image.

4. Click Save.

3. Managing Users

Adding a New User

1. Go to System β†’ Users β†’ Users.

2. Click Add New (+).

3. Fill in Username, Password, and User Group (Admin, Manager, etc.).

4. Click Save.

Assigning Roles & Permissions

1. Go to System β†’ Users β†’ User Groups.

2. Choose a group (like Manager).

3. Select what menu items they can view or edit.

4. Save changes.

Editing/Deleting Users

1. Go to System β†’ Users β†’ Users.

2. Find the user.

3. Use the Edit (pencil) or Delete (trash icon) button.

4. Managing Orders & Bills

Viewing Orders

1. Go to Sales β†’ Orders.

2. You’ll see a list of all customer orders.

Editing an Order

1. Find the order in the list.

2. Click View (eye icon) or Edit (pencil icon).

3. Update shipping method, payment, or product details.

Generating & Printing Invoices

1. Open an order from Sales β†’ Orders.

2. Click Invoice.

3. Print or download the invoice as a PDF.

Updating Order Status

1. Open the order details.

2. Change Order Status (Pending, Processing, Shipped, Complete).

3. Click Save.

5. Customers

Adding a New Customer

1. Go to Customers β†’ Customers.

2. Click Add New (+).

3. Enter details like Name, Email, Telephone.

4. Choose a Customer Group (e.g., Retail, Wholesale).

5. Click Save.

Viewing Customer List

- All registered customers are listed under Customers β†’ Customers.

Customer Groups

- Customers can be grouped (for discounts or wholesale pricing).

- Manage groups under Customers β†’ Customer Groups.

6. Extensions & Modules

Enabling/Disabling Extensions

1. Go to Extensions β†’ Extensions.

2. Choose a type (Payments, Shipping, Modules).

3. Click Install/Uninstall or Edit to configure.

Payments & Shipping

- Under Extensions β†’ Extensions, choose Payments to set up payment gateways (PayPal, Bank Transfer).

- Choose Shipping to configure delivery methods (Flat Rate, Free Shipping, etc.).

7. Reports

Sales Reports

1. Go to Reports β†’ Sales.

2. View sales based on day, week, or month.

Customer Reports

- See how many customers registered, active, or have reward points.

Product Reports

- See which products are viewed or purchased the most.

8. General Tips

- Always Save after making changes.

- Use clear product names and good-quality images.

- Keep user permissions limited for security.

- Check order statuses daily to keep customers updated.

- Back up your store regularly.
